Autograph letter signed from Samuel Pegge, Whittington, to the Revd. Thomas Percy [manuscript], 1786 January 11.

Discusses the story about the Dragon of Wantley. Pegge also writes, "Mr. Farmer has been so obliging as to send me the second edition of his essay; and I think he has clear'd the question about Shakespeare's learning so much to every body's satisfaction, that we shall hear no more on that head." He asks "when we shall have Mr. Capell's Shakespeare?" Pegge wishes Percy would freely tell him his opinions on that gentleman and his performance.
